Voluntary Arts has linked up with key organisations for the Volunteering in the Arts Season, which
aims to make sure that volunteers are valued and that organisations know how best to work with volunteers.
Events will kick-off the week beginning 10of September and will be continued throughout the autumn of 2012 and early spring of 2013. The first event is the launch of the Volunteering in the Arts Toolkit. The toolkit has been produced by Voluntary Arts England in partnership with Volunteering England. It aims to build the skill base and volunteer management skills of arts groups who currently support volunteers. It will be available on both organisations’ websites after the launch event.
As well as receiving a copy of the toolkit on USB stick / disc, participants will have a chance to network, have an informal chat, and find out more about CVS(S) and the volunteering infrastructure.

Other details: Entertainment will be provided by local voluntary arts groups. Refreshments and a light finger buffet will also be on offer. Each attendee will receive a USB flash drive or disc which will contain the Art’s Toolkit and promotional material for the season of Volunteering in the Arts programme.
