You are invited to
‘Sharing Experiences: Internships in the museum Sector’
Thursday 13th September
2-4pm
St Cecilia’s Hall, Cowgate, Edinburgh, EH1 1NQ
Last September twenty interns started work in the museums sector. Five of whom were volunteer management internships and many of the other sixteen worked on projects involving volunteers.
Join Heritage Volunteer Organisers Scotland (HVOS) and the Museums Galleries Scotland HLF Skills for the future Interns, on the 13th of September for a discussion about volunteer management through the eyes of the interns, the host organisations and the wider sector. The event offers an opportunity to reflect on the work and learning of the interns, the lessons that can be applied to volunteer programmes in the wider sector and the impact of the volunteer management internships in their host organisations.
Speakers will include interns from the Museums Galleries Scotland Internship Programme. This is a valuable networking opportunity for museums professionals, interns, volunteers and anyone with an interest in volunteer management.
This is a free session. For more information and to book a place contact Kris Bruce, Volunteer Management intern, The National Trust for Scotland kbruce@nts.org.uk by Friday 31st August
Join Heritage Volunteer Organisers Scotland to participate in this group.
