'Older & Bolder'

This was a recent event to both mark the Opening of our New Volunteer Centre in Telford and Wrekin and for the Photographic Celebration of our Older and Bolder Campaign, at the end of 'Make a Difference Week'; October 29th 2010.

We asked volunteers over the age of 55 if they would be happy to give permission for us to use their photographs, for use in a digital photograph frame. The frames were displayed around the room for all to see - during the post opening ceremony buffet.
Request was also made for the volunteers to be briefly videoed; a couple of clips can be viewed here . . .
What really comes over in these clips is the sheer enjoyment people get from their volunteering activities, and also how volunteering has helped them at points in their lives, especially into their retirement.
It's a joy to see!
