Youth Service Activity Volunteer for Papworth Trust - Various locations in Eastern England
Important: No more volunteers are currently required for this opportunity.
Papworth Trust is a leading disabled charity; our mission is to bring equality, choice and independence to disabled people.
Bring your specific skill set to youth sessions to provide new stimulating ways to learn, giving an opportunity for young people to gain a range of skills by teaching activities that may not be taught in conventional teaching. If you can spare a couple of hours each week in the evenings this is for you!
You will be supported to deliver session/s with the focus on you, the volunteer/s and the skill/s you can bring to provide new opportunities for the young disabled people attending these live sessions.
These sessions could be ‘one offs’ or a set of sessions depending on the subject and how you want the sessions to work, whilst taking advice and support from the Learning for Life and Work Team.
What is your skill? Would you love to share it with disabled people to allow them the opportunity to learn and try new things? It could be anything from Art, Music, photography, fitness or film making. the list is endless! Bring your skill to others!
This will provide new and exciting ways to learn as well as encourage young people to open their minds to new skills that they may have a particular talent in.
Out of pocket expenses will be paid and training will be provided including safeguarding, health and safety and disability/equality training.
