Guest Blogs from Barbara Owen and Michael Warrilow
Today we have two guest volunteer blogs for you, from Barbara Owen and Michael Warrilow who volunteer in the kitchens at the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
Barbara Owen
I enjoy the work that I do in the kitchen.
I like the atmosphere as goes on between the staff and the other volunteer workers.
I enjoy talking to the patients when I go round the wards with drinks and trays for lunch, just generally meeting other people.
I do my best when any other task is presented to me.
Michael Warrilow
I have been coming into the hospice for 4 years.
I enjoy working in the kitchen and taking drinks on the ward.
All the kitchen staff and doctors and nurses are very friendly.
It is very nice to feel part of the group.
