PDSA Fundraising Group Liaison

PDSA are looking for a volunteer to support the Fundraising Team by making regular contact with our regional fundraising groups. The fundraising team supports a number of fundraising groups throughout the UK. This role is to engage with the fundraising groups, mainly by phone but also by email and in writing, to discuss current and planned activity, maintain records of group membership and to act as the link between the fundraising groups and the Fundraising Team
•Work with the Fundraising Manager to agree a contact plan for engaging the fundraising groups.
•Ensure the plan is actioned accordingly.
•Liaise with the fundraising groups by phone and email to ensure all activity is known and fundraising targets communicated.
•To monitor the active volunteers, assist with recording changes and follow up any outstanding volunteer paperwork.
•To encourage fundraising groups to complete relevant paperwork i.e. Notification of Fundraising Event forms, Income & Expenditure Forms and Risk Assessment forms.
•To communicate, through maintaining of spreadsheet and meeting with Fundraising Manager, the status of current fundraising groups and their fundraising activities.
•Assist with other tasks/key projects as required.
By arrangement but ideally 1 full day or 2 half days per week.
Personal qualities required:
- Ideally, experience of working with volunteers and of organising fundraising events
•Friendly disposition and an enjoyment of talking to people
•Familiarity and confidence with modern IT software (in particular Email, Word and Excel)
•Ability to keep records and update volunteer information
•Reliable and conscientious
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
