Animal Clinic Receptionists
Important: No more volunteers are currently required for this opportunity.
Volunteer clinic receptionists are responsible for booking animals in for consultations; checking owners' proofs of benefits; entering animal details into the computer system and taking payments.
Most volunteers do one morning a week, working in pairs.
Trainee receptionists work alongside an existing pair of volunteers until they feel confident and then either take on a regular place in the rota or act as "floating" helpers to cover absences.
The clinic provides over 4,000 treatments each year for animals who might otherwise never see a vet, so is a vital element in the RSPCA's work to prevent cruelty.
