Healthwalk Leaders - Brighton & Hove County Council

Volunteer walk leaders lead healthwalks in Brighton and Hove. At least two leaders take responsibility for the walk and support and encourage participants. Walk leaders are given one-day Walk Leader training , and can also work on researching and planning new walks within Brighton & Hove City boundaries.
Help out at Healthwalks and Active for Life events like Take Part festival of sport and Sussex festival of Nature and other linked events such as the Marathon and Half marathon as well as other local community information events.
Current walks are in Preston Park, The Seafront, Castle Hill, Sheepcote Valley, Hollingbury Hillfort, Stanmer Park, Hove Park, Saltdean Undercliff, Patcham, Benfield Valley and other evening and special walks.
Volunteers required to commit to at least one walk per month and promoting the Healthwalk programme. Please register online by completing our application form. Website : www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/sportsdevelopment
Skills and requirements : Sociable, reliable, a basic level of health [ie: can complete a 40 minute flat walk comfortably]. An interest in walking, environment, community and a sense of fun would be good.
