Travel Buddy - Grace Eyre Foundation

The Travel Buddy Scheme is an innovative new project that enables adults with learning difficulties to travel independently in and around Brighton and Hove. You will support a trainee and teach them how to carry out their chosen journey independently. You will travel with them, on the bus or walking, to a variety of destinations within their local community. This will include going to work or linking with social and recreational activities throughout the week.
We would like to recruit volunteers who are patient and have good listening skills. Excellent road safety skills and confidence in using public transport are essential. You will also have an interest in promoting independence and inclusion for people living within the Brighton and Hove community.
The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity that supports adults with learning disabilities to realise their goals, dreams and wishes.
